A direct descendant of the pioneers of 1980s thrash and death metal. New Orleans' HERAKLEION bonded over of a shared love of legends Sepultura, Death, Voïvod, Obituary, Morbid Angel, and Kreator. Their debut CDEP, Curse Of Eternity, is a return to the roots of both genres.
With the lineup set in April of 2021, the band began writing through summer. Recording for their first EP began in August 2021. The resulting effort, Curse Of Eternity, was mixed by Duane Simoneaux (Exhorder, Crowbar, Down) and was released on February 18, 2022.
Herakleion has spent 2022 leveling audiences and building a rabid fanbase with a relentless and airtight live show.
